Your personal data; in accordance with the Data Protection Laws, it will be processed by Ülker Bisküvi Sanayi Anonim Şirketi (the “Company”) as the data controller within the scope described below. The confidentiality and security of your personal data is very important to our Company. Therefore, with this information notice, it is aimed to inform the relevant persons about how and why the personal data of the persons whose data is processed within the scope of the A-BLOCK Project are used.

Our company is responsible for the opening and management of the website and social media accounts within the scope of the A-Block project. However, the other parties of the consortium also act separately as data controllers within the scope of the A-Block project.

Data Protection Laws : It refers to the General Data Protection Regulation, the Personal Data Protection Law and the relevant local legislation.

Project Name : A-BLOCK

Project Scope : The A-BLOCK project is aimed at transforming conventional food packaging by integrating bio-based and biomimetic solutions based on engineered nanostructures, encapsulation and release of bio-based antimicrobial agents. The nanoengineered packages carry promise of delivering natural, and chemical free alternatives to inhibiting microbial growth and improving food preservation compared to traditional packaging solutions. A-BLOCK is dedicated to creating sustainable packaging systems that address food loss at every stage of the food chain, prioritizing consumer safety and emphasizing sustainability, innovation, and the future of active food packaging.

National Funding Body:

National Funding Body means national funding agencies funding each Party. The relevant funding bodies are the General Secretariat for Research and Technology in Greece, the French National Research Agency (ANR) in France, the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) in Luxembourg, and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), ensuring adherence to the objectives of the PRIMA initiative and compliance with applicable regulations governing research and innovation in the Mediterranean region.

PRIMA : PRIMA (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area) means the foundation to which the A-BLOCK project was submitted.

Data Subject Groups of Persons, Processed Personal Data, Data Processing Purposes and To Whom Personal Data Is Transferred

  1. Persons assigned to the execution of the project by the consortium parties: Name, surname, telephone number, e-mail, address, photo and/or video recordings.

Your name, surname, telephone number, e-mail address, address, photo and video recording will be processed for the following purposes, subject to the data processing condition “provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract, it is necessary to process the personal data of the parties to the contract“.

  • Execution of business processes and activities within the scope of the Consortium Agreement
  • Ensuring effective communication between consortium members
  • Fulfillment of obligations in line with the consortium agreement

Your name, surname, telephone number, e-mail address, address, photo and video recording will be processed for the following purposes, subject to the data processing condition that “data processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject“.

  • Organizing consortium meetings, workshops, trainings, events, workshops during the project
  • Participation in congresses, symposiums, national and international meetings held during the project
  • Publication of communication materials (photos, video recordings, etc.) on the project-specific website and social media accounts, press releases, and through digital or traditional channels, including but not limited to, to increase the visibility of the project; Sharing such communication materials on the corporate social media accounts or websites of the consortium parties, and on the social media accounts of the officials of the consortium parties in order to increase the visibility of the project or, if the project is successful, to share this success with the public.
  • Carrying out the storage and archiving activities of the records related to the project
  • Execution of our activities in accordance with the relevant legislation and consortium agreement

Your above-mentioned personal data may be shared with consortium parties, national funders and PRIMA, an international funder, within the scope of the execution of the project. In addition, your photo or video recording will be published on the website or social media accounts to ensure the visibility of the project, so that it is transferred to the platform provider. In addition, your personal data will be shared with the agency from which we receive services for the preparation of the website.
